Chris Stiles

Chris Stiles has been the Director of Advancement at Mount St. Mary Catholic High School in Oklahoma City since 2007. Recognized by his colleagues as “Coach,” Chris utilizes his unique coaching pedigree, along with infectious enthusiasm, to mentor Partners in Mission clients across the country. He masterfully implements the comprehensive advancement model, providing a proven track record of growing the revenue side of advancement departments. Chris provides coaching expertise in annual funds, major gift solicitation, capital campaigns, and endowment campaigns. Chris is the ultimate relationship builder, guiding clients in cultivation, stewardship, and management strategies, producing lifetime affinity between constituents and their schools.

Since taking over at Mount St. Mary, Chris has instituted a branded and data-driven annual fund, growing it to over 7% of the school’s yearly operating budget. In addition, he initiated a multi-million dollar major gifts program for the renovation of the school’s chapel, fitness center, and football and baseball stadiums. Chris guided the school through its first capital building campaign, raising $6.4 million for a cafeteria commons facility. Moreover, he established a planned giving legacy society, already securing over $3 million in realized planned gifts. This planned giving success has catapulted the school’s endowment to over $17 million during Chris’ tenure.

Chris graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1985, where he was a walk-on two-year football letterman as a linebacker, playing for future NFL Hall of Fame coach Jimmy Johnson. After graduation, Chris returned to OSU as a graduate assistant coach in 1986, after which he moved on to the University of Notre Dame, earning an M.S. in Administration. While at Notre Dame, Chris served as a graduate assistant football coach in 1987 and 1988 under legendary Fighting Irish head coach Lou Holtz. After leaving Notre Dame, he moved to Galesburg, Illinois, becoming the high school’s head football coach at the young age of 25. In the years following, Chris served three different schools as head coach in the state of Oklahoma.

Chris and his wife, Maria, were married in 1988. Maria is the former 1986 Miss Oklahoma State University and the couple have two adult children.
